Miriam’s Song is a joyful celebration inspired by Exodus 15 — the moment Miriam led God’s people in dance and praise after their deliverance through the Red Sea. This upbeat, folk-style worship song invites everyone to sing to the Lord who still sets us free, still makes a way, and still reigns in love and victory.
For me, this song matters because it’s a reminder that praising God is both personal and communal. Singing connects us to God’s faithfulness and to one another, echoing the courage and leadership of Miriam herself. I also want to highlight and honour women’s contributions to biblical literature — their voices, wisdom, and witness have shaped God’s story throughout history, and Miriam’s song is a beautiful example.
🎶 “Sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed!”

Miriam’s Song (Sing to the Lord)
[Verse 1]
You have led us through the waters
You have set your people free
From the chains of sin and sorrow
To your promised liberty
[Bridge]
The waves may rise yet you are faithful
Your hand upholds us strong and true
The sea has parted we are singing
Our Saviour reigns our God renews
[Chorus]
Sing to the Lord for he has triumphed
Lift up your voice and shout his name
Sing to the Lord our mighty Saviour
Let all creation sing his praise
[Verse 2]
You have led us through the waters
You have set your people free
From the chains of sin and sorrow
To your promised liberty
[Bridge]
The waves may rise yet you are faithful
Your hand upholds us strong and true
The sea has parted we are singing
Our Saviour reigns our God renews
[Chorus]
Sing to the Lord for he has triumphed
Lift up your voice and shout his name
Sing to the Lord our mighty Saviour
Let all creation sing his praise
[Outro]
Let all creation sing his praise
Let all creation sing his praise
